Presentation:
I was born 1985 in Falun, Sweden. I grew up a few kilometres from there in a small town named Säter. I have always liked sports and most of all icehockey and motocross. I also did a lot of skateboarding and snowboarding. Cycling has always been the number one sport for me and I decided to ride a bit more serious at an age of 11. When I was 13 I won my first goldmedal at the Swedish Championships and from that day I knew that cycling was the thing I wanted to do. I have won medals at every Championship in Sweden since then. When I was 16 I decided to move 350km south to go to school. I had the possibility to go to a gymnasium where you could practice your sport at school time. It was a big step to move away from family and friends, but I have learnt a lot from that.
When I became a junior I made a few good results with podiums at international races and with good results and good contacts I got the chance to get a contract with Team Bianchi MTB. It was a big thing for me and I made a good impression so since that time I have been in the Team. I have had good results over the years but also some ups and downs. My goal with my biking is to reach the top. I know it’s a lot of work, but I am confident and prepared to work hard. I have great support from my team, my sponsors, the Swedish Olympic Committee, my family, my trainer Andreas Danielson and a lot of other people.
